Luxe vakantiehuis in de Luberon (Vaucluse)
Here, high up in the Luberon,you find LA BAUME VICTOIRE in Buoux en Provence,
facing across a private valley planted with truffle oaks and lavander.
It is easy to imagine yourself a thousand kilometers away from civilisation.
You hear birdsong and the rustle of "cigalas". But there is no traffic, and very little sound or sight of modern life.
You can see one other house in the distance, an old stone farm. Otherwise,
it is the same magnificent view it has been for thousand of years: mountains and sky.
For those who like walking, riding, swimming and peace,
it would be difficult to find a more secluded spot than LA BAUME VICTOIRE.
And yet it is ten minutes from Bonnieux, one of the prettiest village in the Luberon,
less than an hour from Aix en Provence, just over an hour to the international aerport at Marseille.
The weekly markets of APT and Lourmarin are within an easy drive, so are dozen good restaurants.
Inside the house, you will find the thick stone walls, tiled floors and exposed beams of traditional Provencal architecture,
but with the untraditional benefits of central haeting!
The vast main room has a full equipped modern kitchen at one end and a wood-burning fireplace at the other.
There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms, plus a summer house by the pool, with two beds and a large sitting room.
Because of its position, the house is flooded with light from dawn to sunset.
The terrace is large enough to accomodate a lunch party and a full-scale of "petanque" at the same time.
The pool(16feet by 35 feet)) is sixty yards from the house.
The sun shines three hundred days a year.
